two pilgrims

standing on holy ground

 

Even the scent

of a wayward flower

will fade

In this moment’s unfolding

             a slice of time

                             storied only by memory

 

 

In the smile of a dream

the silent sextet

play on

 

Autumn walk

                                to the usual rhythms

                                                    of water and weather 

                                 Tide in

                                        Tide out

                                                    Flip. Flop
